More than just a class…
Tangle Club is more than a class; it’s a weekly space to pause.
For ninety minutes, you can step away from the noise of everyday life and enjoy supported creative time with a friendly, welcoming community. Through the gentle structure of the Zentangle Method® you’ll find some calm and connection, one pen stroke at a time.
Zenjo Tangle Club offers regular inspiration, connection, and a little breathing space in your week for those looking for a creative and relaxing way to unwind, and for more experienced Tanglers alike who want regular practice.
No pressure, no judgement: just creativity, calm, and good company.

See a tangle come to life

The recording
The room only holds so many, so places are limited. The live session runs 2:30 to 4:00 PM UK time.
More than a class
Come for the calm. Here’s what comes with it.
A weekly live session
Ninety minutes every Thursday, with Jo guiding gently and sharing as she goes. Follow along, or let your own ideas wander.
Catch-up recordings
Miss a week? Every session is recorded for your hub. Some members only ever join by recording, and they’re just as much part of it.
A little extra
20% off Zenjo classes and early access to events. And the quiet things: new ideas, a bit of encouragement, people in your corner.

Every one of these started as a single line. No marks out of ten, ever.

A room that feels like friends
Not long ago, three members, from near Boston, from Washington and from Florida, surprised Jo by turning up on camera together. They’d met up in person. Three friends who only know each other because of a Thursday tangle.
That’s the feeling people come for, and stay for. And it asks nothing of you. Join in and chat, or just sit quietly and listen. Both are welcome.
In their words
“I was too intimidated to join. I remember thinking I wasn’t good enough. It took a third invitation to get me brave enough to join the fun. Thank you for sticking with me.”
Norma, USA
“I cannot tell you enough what Tangle Club does for me. It honestly keeps me going all week.”
Tina, UK
“I can’t believe we’ve been getting together for six years. And that I willingly get up at 6:30 to tangle with you and the rest of the crew!”
LouAnn, USA

Brand new to Zentangle?
You’re welcome in Tangle Club whatever your experience. If you’d like to get to grips with the core principles first, in your own time, Jo’s self-paced Introduction to Zentangle course is a lovely place to begin. Five videos, two full classes, lifetime access, £40.
A few things people ask
Do I need to be good at drawing?
No. This was never about being good at art. Most people arrive a little nervous, then relax and just play. There is no wrong way, and no one is marking it.
What if I can’t always make a Thursday?
That’s fine. Every session is recorded for your hub, so you can catch up in your own time. Some members only ever join by recording, and they’re just as much part of it.
What do I need to start?
Very little. A fine-tipped black pen (like a Sakura Pigma Micron), an ordinary graphite pencil for some gentle shading, and some paper or a sketchbook. While we often use traditional 3.5-inch square paper “tiles,” you are very welcome to use whatever you already have to hand. There is no need to buy expensive art supplies to join us; just bring yourself and a pen.
